Podcast naBOSo Children Barefoot
An interview with occupational therapist Jitka Ludvíčková about children’s eating difficulties, prevention and building a healthy relationship with food.
Mgr. Jitka Ludvíčková is an experienced occupational therapist and the founder of the Škola papání project. She specialises in supporting children with eating difficulties, such as refusing food, challenges when moving on to solid foods, or issues related to sensory processing of food.
Jitka studied at prestigious universities and has enriched her practice with unique approaches, such as the SOS Approach to Feeding, which respects each child’s individual needs and supports a healthy relationship with food. In our conversation, we discussed how parents can help their children through challenging moments at the table and what the most common mealtime mistakes are.
We also looked at the consequences of pressuring children to eat, the impact of modern lifestyles on children’s eating habits, as well as when it’s appropriate to seek professional support and what effective prevention looks like. This episode is for anyone who wants to better understand children’s nutritional needs and support them on their way to a balanced, healthy diet.
