Tips and Tricks

• Soak the stockings in water, place them in a bag and put them in the freezer overnight. In the morning, remove them and leave them to defrost in a warm, dry place. Freezing stockings and tights before wearing them for the first time strengthens the fibres, making them less prone to tearing.
• Don't forget foot care – use a pumice stone to keep the skin on your feet smooth. Make sure you don't have ragged nails (on hands or feet) or cracked heels. To be safe, remove rings and bracelets with stones. It takes very little to damage the fibres of delicate stockings and tights.
• Clear nail polish can stop a run from spreading. Alternatively, you can use hairspray to strengthen the stockings.
