Children Barefoot Walking, Movement and Health Podcast naBOSo
Today we’re talking to Bc. Michaela Kačírková, also known as Dětská fyzio máma, about the key milestones in children’s psychomotor development.
‘Working as a paediatric physiotherapist is wonderful. The results can be amazing, it can help even the tiniest newborn babies from day one, and it can positively influence their healthy development going forward,’ says Bc. Michaela Kačírková, a paediatric physiotherapist known as Dětská fyzio máma, who we’re interviewing in today’s episode of naBOSo mluVÍ.
Míša has a university degree in physiotherapy and has completed a wide range of courses, including the Ludmila Mojžíšová Method, DNS for athletes, ACT, the Vojta method and the globally recognised Bobath concept. As Dětská fyzio máma, she supports parents and children on their shared journey from birth to those first steps.
Today, we’ll go through the most important psychomotor development milestones in the youngest children. We’ll talk about how, as a parent, you can recognise when it’s time to pay closer attention, and what often gets overlooked. We’ll also introduce the world-famous and respected physiotherapy approaches: the Vojta method and the Bobath concept. Finally, we’ll find out what fascinated Míša about this work and motivated her to write the book Pohybový vývoj dítěte s láskou a respektem and create the online course Pro zdravý vývoj miminka.
