BEPPI Casual Boot Baby are year-round ankle boots for little walkers from the Portuguese brand Beppi. The upper is made of smooth synthetic leather, and the ankle is trimmed with a knitted collar in the same colour. Two velcro straps keep them securely fastened.

They suit spring, autumn and mild winter days. They make a typical first autumn shoe for nursery, when morning dew and fallen leaves are too much for low trainers but insulated winter boots are not yet needed.

   The upper copes with a short shower, dew and wet grass, but they are not designed for mud or puddles, as the synthetic material has no waterproof membrane.
2. Does the boot stay on the ankle when running and climbing?
   The higher cut and two independent velcro straps hold the heel better than low trainers, which parents of children still learning to walk on uneven terrain will appreciate.
