Care that

Your feet don’t need x minutes of exercise every day. Small habits matter far more – and you can easily build them into everyday life.
Mgr. Darina Ungr founded the Fyzioterapie lidem clinic in Plzeň and the Fyzioterapie mamkám project. In her clinic, she often hears people say they don’t have time to exercise. That’s why she recommends small changes you can add to things you’re already doing anyway. You don’t have to do everything at once – pick one small thing for this week. You can start with the first one tonight in the bathroom.

Tips from Darina
5 small things for healthy feet
01
Stand on one leg while brushing your teeth
Two minutes at the sink in the morning is perfect balance training. Start with 20–30 seconds on each leg.
02
Brush your teeth in a squat for part of the time
A few slow reps at a depth that feels comfortable – with your whole feet in contact with the floor.
03
Walk barefoot at home for part of the day
Ditch the slippers and socks and alternate surfaces – wood, carpet, tiles. Your toes get more space and the sole gets more information.
04
A sensorimotor mat under your feet
In front of the kitchen counter, by the sink, or under your desk at work. A pleasant extra dose of stimulation during the day, not a punishment.
05
Give your toes enough space in your shoes
Don’t focus only on the size number. Your toes need room in length and width – and when transitioning to barefoot shoes, take it slowly.

💡 Tip from us
Darina recommends not focusing only on the size number. The best shoe is the one that truly fits you and doesn’t pinch anywhere. In each of our shops, our trained staff will measure your feet and help you choose a model that suits your feet. And if you want absolute precision, visit the Českomoravská shop – we measure there with a 3D scanner too.
“For people who don’t have time to exercise, I recommend small changes during the day that can be added to activities they already do.”
